ESL4 Winter Camp

Toucheng Farm was host to the ESL4 (English as Second Language 4 ) English Winter Camp. Children from 9 to 14 years old ranging from 3rd to 8Th grades, participated in the Camp for a 7 day activities.

English teachers Kenny from Canada and Kim from England joined the other teachers' a ssistant to have fun at the same time learn many things in the Farm. These active and enthusiastic winter campers learned English in a natural Farm setting.

Take a look at these photos and you will have an idea how they enjoyed the week-long camp.

The group's picture after printing their T-shirt with leaves and our magical colorful dyes.

Kilning sweet potatoes and tasting the finished product is an unforgettable experience.

Gathering vegetables; catching or chasing chickens or picking fresh eggs from the coop; or choosing the ripe kumquat; and exchanging experiences, laughing it out, was indeed fun!

Walking the muddy rice paddies, while planting rice seedlings, is feeling like a Farmer for a day!

Uncle "Mac Donald" taught us to plant some vegetables.
Or choose to prepare the Kumquat marmalade!

And to top it all, we received our reward and awarded for the fun!

Thanks for everything, and Toucheng Farm is the right place for our English Winter Camp!
