Summer Camp 2015 Schedule

Every year, during the Summer Season, Toucheng Leisure Farm prepares a rich and unforgettable Summer activities for children who wants to get close to Nature.

This year we already plan an objective and daily schedule full of fun for those who are looking forward to a great summer!

Toucheng Leisure Farm Summer Camp 2015
Learn how to make friends with all things of the earth at the farmer’s land.

At the little farmer’s natural - earth kitchen classroom, teaching is equated with exploration, farming, food and life’s education, in an active, rich and diverse but innovative method. Participants stay at the Farm for five days and 4 nights to fully utilize the Farm’s ecology and natural resources. The program is designed to suit the needs of school children living in the metropolitan area to learn all from what is expected and demanded of a Summer Camp.

Originally, human skills and knowledge are fruits of experiences derived from living outdoors in nature. Nature has been the field of human learning and man’s learning partner. Toucheng Leisure Farm has a wealth of outdoor teaching resources such as low-altitude teaching facilities; organic vegetable gardens; rice paddies and streams. Camping activities also includes planting or collecting fruits and vegetables; Environmental Educational; hands–on-experiences;  parent and child experimental activities; all done in a joyful and relaxing learning environment in a natural setting and ultimately making friends with everything in nature.

Modern students at the school campuses have images, texts, pictures for learning seen or not seen, cold and odorless. Learning is a second-hand experience of other people, is only a virtual knowledge. In addition, man’s daily life is decided by the advertisement or marketing tools offered to be consumed, especially food. Man’s distance with nature is becoming farther. He no longer feels the four season’s flow, or the rhythm of nature’s energy. We want all participants of the Summer Camp to wander along the mountain paths, walk through the creeks, just like Grandmother Cho (the founder of Toucheng Leisure Farm) who is living amidst nature, who is a friend of the farmland, who takes care of the organic garden, careful that the farmer’s toil in the garden is not wasted but fully rewarded and ultimately result in a rich feedback, that is:  earth’s ecological nature is back on track, producing vibrant crops, healthy and nutritious.

We welcome all students to Toucheng Leisure Farm for our Summer Camp 2015 and act as a farmer at nature’s’ farm.  Let us work together and harvest earth’s precious gifts.
