Are these tiny grapes? These are berries!

It is a specie of beautyberries which are usually grown as an ornamental plant.

These tiny clusters of berries or drupes are light-purple.

But their flowers are white!

 

 

This specie ranges from Taiwan to southern Japan.

Interesting, isn't it!

Nature is so interesting!

Clematis grata or gourian clematis

This white lovely flower is an endemic flower to Taiwan

Marigold

If you have a garden and want to cheer it up, make sure you grow some marigold flowers.

They are hardy, annual plants and easy to grow.

Marigold comes in various colors, yet yellow and orange are the most common.

Marigolds have strong, pungent odor which  can serve as insect repelant and are also usefiul as cosmetic treatment.

Impatiens Hawk Moth

This attractive larvae is considered pest on flowers like Busy lizzie (Impatiens wallerana) and fushias.

That's why it was  named after the  Impatiens (I guess!). I found it so pleasing to the eyes! 

 Compare it with the adult moth, just like all moths, it' become a dull object unpleasing to behold!

Here at Toucheng Farm, Busy lizzies are in abundance and comes in very attractive colors like red, orange, white or pink.

They also beautify Toucheng Leisure Farm's surroundings!

Perilla frutescens

Perilla comes in both green and purple colored leaf. It's seeds are sometimes called "wild sesame" and a source of perilla oil.

This humble plant is used in Chinese medicine as a stimulant for interferon activity and our body's immune system.

When leaves are fried with garlic or ginger, it could ease your common colds symptom's once consumed.

Its leaves has minerals, calcium, iron and potassium of high contents and rich in fiber and riboflavin and even richer in Vitamin A and C.

At Toucheng Leisure Farm's vegetable garden, Perilla has a special place. This photos you see are evidence of its presence.

This is a famous spot at Toucheng Leisure Farm especially on summer.
