Edible Chrysanthemum

At Toucheng Leisure Farm vegetable garden we grow different vegetables.

This one is special. It is an edible chrysanthemum or chrysanthemum coronarium (scientific name).

This leafy herb blooms yellow florets.

The Great Mormon Butterfly

The Great Mormon butterfly or Papilio memnon heronus is a colorful butterfly of Taiwan.







It is a huge (120-150 mm span) kind of butterfly which belongs to the swallowtail family and lives in Southern Asia.






Lately a big and brightly colored butterfly was spotted at Toucheng Leisure Farm vicinity.







Enjoy this beauty of nature at its best!

Tomatoes for you !

What are these backpackers searching for?
Small, sweet, red, delicious tomatoes!

Ever tasted a fresh, red, and juicy tomato? now at Toucheng Leisure Farm they are in abundance
for guests to pick from the plant.
You can eat it right there, too, as no chemical fertilizer are used in the Farm. It is good for your health fresh or cooked!

Is tomato a fruit or a vegetable?
For botanists, tomato is a fruit.
For a chef, tomato is a vegetable!

Pomelos in bloom

Chinese grapefruit, pomelos or chaddock is the largest of all citrus fruits (citrus maxima or citrus grandis). It is a round or sometimes a pear-shaped fruit with a thick but soft rind.
Now at Toucheng Leisure Farm they are in full bloom and fill the Farm with their sweet-smelling blossoms.


It's rare and not-so-well known name is shaddock. Captain Shaddock was an English sea Captain who brought the first seeds to the West Indies during the 17th century from the Malay Archipelago.

Formosan Sweet gum

Liquidambar Formosana or Formosan Sweetgum grows at the Farm and now is the time to watch its newly-sprouted red and delicate leaves.


It is indeed a beautiful sight to behold!


Sweetgums are among the last of the trees to sprout new leaves in spring, and also the last of the trees to fall its leaves in the fall, after turning multiple colors.




Enjoy the sight while they are new leaves sprouting!
