Double rainbow seen at Toucheng Leisure Farm

A rainbow is a meteorological phenomenon caused by a spectrum of light which appears in the sky when the Sun shines on to droplets of moisture in the Earth's atmosphere. Rainbows caused by sunlight always form directly opposite the Sun. (Thanks to Wikipedia for this information).

Watching a rainbow is delightful, but watching a double rainbow is double delight indeed!
A primary and secondary rainbow was spotted near the mountain at Toucheng Leisure Farm last week.
You may not notice it, but look closer, and you'll find it.
The primary rainbow is darker in color and the secondary one is faded.

The colors in a rainbow are: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet in a form of an arc. That's in a primary rainbow.

But the secondary rainbow the colors are inverted, with the blue on the outside and the red in the inside.

This is a rare phenomenon and we're lucky at Toucheng Leisure Farm to have seen and discover it.

You may discover similar rare and strange discoveries at the Farm when you visit.
