Ted, Cindy and Family

Ted, his wife Cindy and their four children: Sofia. Analise, Lauryn and Ava, spent their vacation at Toucheng Leisure Farm for three days and two nights stay.

Here is the photos of the whole family beside the fish pond of the Farm.

Here is Sofia, at the different places at the Farm.

These are Lauryn's photos as she enjoys herself.

Look at Analise !

And the youngest of the four, the cutest of all, Ava !

This hay stalk stands just beside the rice paddies where we went down transplanting rice seedlings barefooted!

One of the many activities in the Farm is kilning. A kiln is a traditional oven where we can roast sweet potatoes, corn-on-the-cob, eggs or even the whole chicken! They had their hands busy by making the kiln and really cooked the corn, you cans ask them how delicious it was!

Transplanting rice seedlings in the rice paddy full of mud wasn't easy. But they can tell you it could be fun, too!

Wooden swings are all around to play. Thet are made out of the fallen trees after the storm, which are recycled as swings or hammocks.

After a hearty lunch at the Cangjiu Winery, Ted and Cindy toured the wine cellar. Wine, vinegar and whisky are the specials products of the Winery.

Here they are at the domesticated animals area while feeding the goats.

Lunch was at the Winery restaurant where they visited the second day.

Red camellias (Flower)

This beautiful flower is in full bloom at Toucheng Leisure Farm at this season. Would you like to visit us and appreciate this beauty of nature? Camellias are ornamental flower but also used to create fine, delicately flavored teas. That's why it is called "mountain tea" flower in Mandarin.

They can grow high and bloom during the winter season.

The red flower looks very attractive with the green background, just on time for the Christmas color of green and red.

Toucheng Leisure Farm is well decorated with these flowers, plus the golden kumquat and some calamansi.

Come and share our happiness!

Double rainbow seen at Toucheng Leisure Farm

A rainbow is a meteorological phenomenon caused by a spectrum of light which appears in the sky when the Sun shines on to droplets of moisture in the Earth's atmosphere. Rainbows caused by sunlight always form directly opposite the Sun. (Thanks to Wikipedia for this information).

Watching a rainbow is delightful, but watching a double rainbow is double delight indeed!
A primary and secondary rainbow was spotted near the mountain at Toucheng Leisure Farm last week.
You may not notice it, but look closer, and you'll find it.
The primary rainbow is darker in color and the secondary one is faded.

The colors in a rainbow are: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet in a form of an arc. That's in a primary rainbow.

But the secondary rainbow the colors are inverted, with the blue on the outside and the red in the inside.

This is a rare phenomenon and we're lucky at Toucheng Leisure Farm to have seen and discover it.

You may discover similar rare and strange discoveries at the Farm when you visit.

The Lai And Tai Families and Friends from Malaysia

Twenty six members of the Malaysian Lai and Tai Families and their friends stayed at Toucheng Leisure Farm for a two days and one night visit.

There they are after a nutritious breakfast before we toured the Farm's scenery.

Our first stop was the rice paddies and proceeded to the Farm animals area where the children enjoyed feeding the goats and saw the real wild boar!

How about a pose at one of the swings near the animals area?

At the water buffaloes area is a red cart, see? All the children and their mothers went up for a pose.

T-shirt printing is one of Toucheng Leisure Farm's DIY activities. We use leaves of the trees around with the different colorful dyes to accentuate the veins and produce a unique creation on a T-shirt.

Joey is proud to show his T-shirt, and even wear it on as soon as it was ready.

A father and daughter tandem creation, you should see it to admire the uniquely created butterfly!

After a sumptuous lunch they left the Farm and commented that staying two days is too short for a visit.

I told them to check our website: www.tcfarm.com.tw/click English regularly for the right season but make sure to reserve the rooms early for a perfect vacation.

Many people from all walks of life and nationalities has stayed at Toucheng Leisure Farm for a day, a week or more.
