Recycling old newspapers

During the T-shirt printing or green bag printing process, old newspapers are useful materials to prevent the dyes to stain  the other side of the shirt or bag.

After the printing these old, used and stained newspapers are gathered and reserved for another purpose.

At the kilning area old newspapers are used to burn for fire starters. Only then will this useful, humble paper material vanished, but not totally, they will return to the soil as fertilizer or part and parcel of the earth!

This is the box used for the used newspapers for recycling.

At the kilning area, old newspapers are used as fire starters to burn firewood
for the kiln.
Written wishes on the sky lanterns needs old newspapers to absorb the colored ink, to keep the lanterns
dry and light.

We do our share to save the earth!
Even these little acts matters.
You can do some, too!

Rice seedlings

It takes some months for this rice seedlings to grow.

Kook how these seeds germinate slowly...

Rice seedlings are transplanted at the rice paddies for a few months to bear grains until
                                                  harvest time.

This process of transplanting are shared with guests of all ages at the Farm for an experimental activity.
