 The principal, Teachers and children from HESS Korea Elementary Section visited Toucheng Leisure Farm this Wednesday and Thursday.

Philippine Association of Travel Agency

Some members of the Philippine Association of Travel Agencies visited the Cangjiu Winery and was hosted a sumptuous lunch by the General Manager at the Winery's Restaurant.

They also tasted the traditional Taiwanese snacks served at the Toucheng Leisure Farm.

Visited the Farm animals like goats and feed them with some leaves....

Toucheng Leisure Farm is a 120 hectares of land  privately owned and operated by the Cho Family.

The Cangjiu Winery and Restaurant is located inside the premises of the Farm.

They came to gather information about the Farm  and will convey them to the future tourists from the Philippines to Taiwan.

It is commonly called in English as  bitter gourd or bitter melon because of its bitter taste.

 

This vine bears edible fruit which originated from India and was brought to China during the 14th century.

 

Its fruit has a warty exterior and oblong-shaped. It is usually eaten green but turns yellow when ripe.

 

Bitter melons has many medicinal properties and very useful as food but its bitter taste makes it unpleasant to many. Cooks designed various cuisine to make it palatable to the palate.

HESS (South Korea) International Educational Organization

  Children, their Mothers and Teachers  of  English at HESS Korea, Kindergarten Section, spent 2 days and 1 night stay at Toucheng Leisure Farm last July 21-22.

The children were all cute and active just like their Mothers. Here are the pictures taken during their stay:

 

One of the children celebrated his birthday and here they are complete with a birthday cake to blow and shared by everyone during the barbecue dinner.

They fed the water buffaloes with some vegetables gathered from the Farm's garden.

 

 

It is an amazing experience for Mother and son together to draw and write their wishes on the

DIY made sky lantern.

Another group is coming this week for 2 days and 1 night  stay at Toucheng Leisure Farm.

Alice American School from Taichung County

Teachers, students and family members from Taichung County 's Alice American School spent a night and two days   at Toucheng Leisure Farm.

They had a Barbecue dinner DIY!

As they lighted and watched the sky lanterns flew up to 

the starry and moon lighted night!

They visited the water buffalo barn and other farm animals.

                                           Taichung County is located at the middle part of Taiwan.

Scadoxus multiflorus Blood Lily

Blood lily is also called Haemanthus grandiflorus.

 

 

This flower plant blooms re, ball-like flower during the monsoon season. 

 

 It is a native of South Africa . and its flowers are poisonous if

consumed.

The Chocolate Family (School) of Hsinchu

Here is the group picture of the students and their teachers of The Chocolate Family

(School) from Hsinchu County who spent 3 days and 2 nights at Toucheng Leisure Farm

for their Summer Camp this year.

 

They went river trekking...

Played games at the Tea House area...

Rode on the bamboo raft...
