Toucheng Farm's view of sunrise

At Toucheng Farm sunrise can be seen in different angles and it is as breathtaking in every way.

Poets are fascinated with its scenery and write poems that could heal.

Writers tell stories that could warm a cold heart.

Photographers make it their favorite view that could win a good prize.

Or just a simple passerby or gazer to feel the beauty of nature.

What are you waiting for? Come to Toucheng Farm and enjoy the full scenery.

Toucheng Farm tree houses

At Toucheng Farm, one can enjoy the view not only of animate objects, but inanimate ones, too! One of these are the woods gathered from uprooted trees after a typhoon. In fact they decorate Toucheng Farm and gave so much joy to many.
If you have visited the Farm, you will come across these objects and enjoy playing with them. Just like seesaws made of wood, tree houses to climb to, or a hammock to sleep on, etc.

They bring unforgettable memories to those who took pictures with it and recall them with their children after a short visit together.
At Toucheng Farm, all of these woods are recycled and become works of art, instead of becoming firewood or turning to ashes. That' what make Toucheng Farm so special.
Interested to see them? Come and see them personally! You will surely love them.

Susan, Penny and their hubbies

Toucheng Farm welcomed two couples from Malaysia today. They will stay for a night at the Farm and join the other group to watch dolphins, whales and a tour of the Turtle mountain isle, the next morning.

At Toucheng Farm, upon arrival, they toured around, watch and touch the water buffaloes; marvelled at the Joro spider; feed the goats; bathe the pigs; gather some fresh eggs and consumed them at lunchtime. After printing some T-shirt, and made some bamboo crafts, they visited the kilning area and roasted some sweet potatoes after erecting the dried mud-made kiln.

Inside Toucheng Farm is a winery with a wine cellar where they, too, visited and tasted some fermented fruit wine and fruit vinegar.

Outside BBQ is a relaxing activity loved by all guests of Toucheng Farm, so did Susan, Penny and their hubbies. After that, they made the heavenly lantern, write on them wishes and prayers then watched them as fly they up to the skies.

How did Susan found us, Toucheng Farm? Our website is in English, as she searched for a leisure Farm in Taiwan, Toucheng Farm came into the picture.

Money tree and Sea Mango tree

Toucheng Farm is indeed rich in ecology. Many trees and plants grow here abundantly. Some are edible and some could be non edible. Two kinds of trees caught my attention specifically.
Money tree ( Pachira aquatica, malabar chestnuts):
Its leaves are shiny green palmate-like.
Its flowers are like hair with yellowish orange stamens.
Its fruits produce edible chestnuts which when roasted, tastes like peanuts.
One legend tells of a poor man who prayed for money., and found this strange plant. Believing in his prayers, he planted and cared for it, until it grew with plentiful seeds. He became rich selling chestnuts, thus called it: "money tree".

On the other hand, Sea mango tree (cerbera manghas):

Its leaves are dark green with alternate ovoid shape.

Its flowers are fragrant, white 5 petals with red at the center.

Its fruits are egg-shaped and turn bright red when mature.

Sea mango's leaves and fruits are poisonous as they contain a potent cardiac substance called cerberin. In Madagascar, it is said, they used its seeds to poison kings or queens in sentence rituals.

Wikipedia claims that all of sea mango's parts are poisonous, never light a fire using its wood. its smoke is also poisonous.

Identifying these 2 kinds of trees, increases your knowledge and could save a life.

They, too, are part of our world, live with us and makes it more interesting.

The beauty of Creation

Toucheng Farm, besides its ecological aspect, its natural beauty is bountiful. The mountain's meadows, riverside water flowing, etc, are breathtaking. One attraction is an occasional appearance of rainbows.

It is clearly seen even on a sunny day. Its beauty is well presented in these photos.

Rainbows are "optical and meteorological phenomenon that causes a spectrum of light to appear in the sky, the sun shines into droplets of moisture in the Earth's atmosphere" . They take the form of a multicolor arc, with red outside and violet on the inside of the arc". according to Wikipedia.

Newton's sevenfold color of red, orange, yellow, green blue, indigo and violet. is the clear explanation of what is a rainbow.

A Toucheng Farm, you can also watch this natural phenomenon on your lucky day! and clearly especially with the mountains on its background.

Welcome to Toucheng Farm and enjoy these natural beauty with us!
