The Tan Family ( from Singapore) at Toucheng Farm

A Chinese legend tells us about the Emperor of Heaven with seven lovely daughters. The youngest daughter Chi Nu fell in love with a mortal Niu Lang ... and the story ended with the famous Chinese Valentine's Day or "The Daughter's Festival ".

This week Mr. and Mrs. Tan from Singapore were guests at Toucheng Farm for a three days and two nights package.

Similarly, the Tan couple has seven daughters. Six of them with their husbands, children and grandchildren had a family reunion at the Farm. One of them was absent for the gathering, ( just like CHi Nu and Niu Lang ? just kidding!). It's like a modern "Daughter's Festival" or Chinese Valentine's Day!.

Here are some of the photos taken during their stay at the Farm.

Here they are at Toucheng Farm's Cang Jiu Winery!
Good luck to you and hope to see you again at Toucheng Farm in the future!

Camellia at Toucheng Farm

At Toucheng Farm this time of the year, Camellias are in bloom. It is one of the "Queens" in a flower garden.
It is said that Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, grew camellia flowers in all her gardens. She so loved it that camellias were placed on top of her flag-draped coffin, picked from her garden.

To eulogize its beautiful flower, Rabindranath Tagore wrote a poem entitled "Camellia".

Watching them bloom at Toucheng Farm will give you an idea why Queen Mother Elizabeth or Rabindranath Tagore loves it. Maybe you too, will love it and write something about it, who knows?

Come and visit Toucheng Farm and enjoy its beauty in a fresh, clean and comfortable environment.

Lovely children from Singapore

This week we have some guests from Singapore. Miss Lan Hsio Ling with her colleagues and their families decided to visit Taiwan to experience Farm life in a Taiwan setting. They especially chose Toucheng Farm for its farm setting atmosphere. Besides, the children can practice listening and speaking mandarin.

They also experienced staying at Waiao Beach House where one can sleep amidst the sound of the Pacific Ocean waves and the rare opportunity of watching sunrise from your bedroom window.

Here are some pictures of some activities they participated while at the Farm.

Look! I painted it myself! So proud to wear her newly painted T-Shirt. She is Wan Rong.

Here is Claire with her mother preparing to print some leaves on her T-shirt.

And Grandmother is happy as well, here with the leaves of her choice printed on her T-shirt.

Its fun printing leaves on your T-shirt!

Here is our special guest, Ms. Lan Hsio Ling smiling ( right side ).

Toucheng Farm offers many activities for its guests like bamboo craft making, T-shirt printing, flying sky lantern and many more to let them enjoy their stay, be it a day or two.

Pioneer Junior College Choir from Singapore

Students from Pioneer Junior College, all members of their choir were guests of Toucheng Farm this Saturday. With their Teachers they stayed in the Farm for a three days and two nights package.

Look! she is printing her name on a T-shirt making it unique! This is one the many DIY activities offered in the Farm for all guests.

Another area in the Farm, wooden swings made out of the trees uprooted by the past typhoon.
There's nothing wasted at Toucheng Farm!

During their visit, they had an opportunity of joining a group of students from the Keng Fang Elementary School which is close to the Farm. They taught these little kids English. Watching them playing and singing touch me so much! No matter where you come from, as long as we try to communicate and understand each other, we can share happiness together!

See, everyone enjoyed every moment of it!

We walked for twenty minutes to the school and after the whole morning fun, we walked back to the Farm around noon just on time for lunch! It was worth walking while watching the butterflies dancing around or the sound of the water from the nearby river rushing to the Pacific Ocean.

.

They will be back to Taipei for a Christmas Choral Presentation.

Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Taiwan!

Toucheng Farm is always here to welcome you next time you come back to Taiwan!
